The creator of Pfilates is Dr Bruce Crawford, a gynaecologist and pelvic floor specialist who has used his expertise to develop a workout that is tailored to the pelvic floor muscles. Pilates is a form of neuromuscular conditioning that strengthens muscles, improves balance and aligns the spine and pelvis. Since posture, strong abs and general fitness are all linked to pelvic floor health it makes sense to tweak traditional Pilates so that it can focus on the pelvic floor.

After regular Pfilates exercise sessions your pelvic floor muscles will get stronger you’ll become more aware of them and be able to ‘feel’ each squeeze and relax.
