Although common, the debilitating effect that back pain has on those that suffer from it should never be underestimated. Indeed, affecting approximately 1 in 10 people, it is now reported to be one of the leading causes of disability.

There are many different types of back pain, some are congenital or caused by injury while others are related to a person’s lifestyle. Whatever the cause, there is no questioning the impact it has on the body, day to day life and overall well-being of those affected. And, although some is acute (short term), while some is chronic (long term), it is thought that 20% of those affected by acute back pain will see it develop into chronic back pain and experience persistent symptoms if they do not seek treatment.

Inversion therapy reduces & prevents back pain whilst also building strength, improving circulation & increasing flexibility

Inversion therapy has proven to be an effective treatment for a variety of debilitating disorders, including sciatica, herniated discs, muscle tension and spasms, degenerative joint disease, scoliosis (spinal curvature), spinal stenosis and facet syndrome. Not only does it target back pain at the root cause naturally, it helps to improve the entire health of the spine. Undergoing as little as a few minutes of treatment per day ensures noticeable improvements.

When we stand or sit, gravity pulls down our bones, compressing the spine and shortening the back. When inverted, gravity has the opposite effect on the spine, decompressing and stretching out the vertebrae to restore its natural shape. As such, by shifting the body’s gravity, inversion therapy eases the pressure on the back, whilst still providing traction for the spine. Also shown to release more protective fluid around the spinal discs, remove waste from the spine, decrease inflammation and improve blood circulation to the surrounding muscles, inversion therapy not only reduces and prevents back pain, it improves overall health/well-being, builds strength, increases flexibility and makes mechanical movements that much easier.

A study of 47 participants, each suffering chronic lower back pain was carried out at Hanseo University in South Korea. The test subjects practiced inversion therapy in three 3-minute sets at different angles over a period of 8 weeks. The study found that inversion therapy at 60 degrees reduced back pain as well as improved torso flexibility and strength in all test subjects.

The Teeter FitSpine X3 Inversion Table has been expertly engineered with premium features to assure safety, comfort, ease of use and optimum results. Teeter Inversion Therapy Tables are the only ones certified by Underwriters Laboratories and are proven to outperform all others in terms of endurance, rotation, control and ease of assembly. In addition, the Teeter FitSpine X3 Inversion Table is FDA approved and certified as a Class 1 Medical Device.

Premium Features of the Teeter FitSpine X3 Inversion Table:

Deluxe EZ-ReachTM Ankle System – Featuring an extra-long handle, securing the ankles is easy and strain-free with the Teeter FitSpine X3. A smooth, micro-adjusting ratchet closure ensures a customised fit, while the aerospace-grade steel gravity-activated lock assures safety.

Stretch MaxTM Handles – The ergonomic frame has integrated grips, which facilitate ease of use and stretching at any angle.

EZ-StretchTM Traction Handles – A simple push and release adds decompression at lesser angles of inversion or easy rhythmic oscillation. For quick release from full inversion, simply push on the ends.

EZ-AngleTM Tether – Embroidered markings with pre-set rotational control to 20, 40, and 60 degrees.

FlexTech Bed - Designed to maximise stretching and lengthening of the spine, the FitSpine Bed has a smooth, yet firm surface. Many other inversion tables are padded with foam, which allows the body to sink into it and, ultimately, stops decompression.

8-PT Floating Suspension System - Lifting the bed off the steel frame, this system creates a pliable surface that flexes and moves with you for optimum support.

Full Lock-Out Hing System - Expertly engineered, the hinge is designed for effortless rotation in and out of inversion with smooth, controlled movement. Securely locking in place when fully inverted, it allows for advanced stretching and exercises.

Acupressure Nodes & Lumbar Bridge – Move the acupressure nodes and lumbar bridge anywhere along the tracks in the bed for trigger-point release and support of the lower back.

Head Pillow – The foam head support can be moved or removed for customised comfort.

Grip-and-Stretch Handholds – These are built into the FlexTech Bed and Frame for additional stretching and decompression options.

Ergo-Embrace Supports – Distributing weight evenly around the feet, the Ergo-Emrace Supports are worn around the ankles.
